A Few Notes About Updates

This site is in the process of being updated. The process will likely take until the end of next year (2013).

For those who haven't been to the site in a while, you'll notice a lot of new photos. The old version of the site had virtually no photos. Most of the pages will receive updates to the content and virtually all of the old graphics will be replaced. A lot has changed in car audio since the site was first built.

This site uses Flash extensively. If you have an iPhone or iPad, only a very few of the graphics files will be visible. Other tablets and phones work better but the slow processors won't allow the animations and other Flash files to work smoothly. If you're interested in the material on the site and want to take full advantage of it's content, bookmark the address and visit the site when you're on a real computer. This site is designed to teach others in the best way I know and I won't sacrifice quality. Flash files produce consistently better quality graphics than .jpg or .gif files. They allow you to zoom-in or to open the file in a new window (larger than the original) when needed to see more detail. They allow interactivity that is simply not available with other file formats. If the fact that I use Flash extensively makes you angry, complain to Apple. I've had a few complaints. Hopefully, this will prevent any more.

Since it's difficult for me to catch all typos, please email me if you find any. A link for my email is at the top and bottom of virtually every page. I try to proofread but I sometimes miss a few things (for example: it in place of is, their in place of there...). I've also replaced a lot of graphics that have corresponding text. The new diagrams are not always identical to the ones they replaced. If you find that there is a discrepancy between the image and the text, please email me. Thanks to those who have already taken time to email me when they've found errors.

If you know people who haven't been to the site in years, tell them to visit to see what's new.

If you have suggestions for new content or believe the current content needs to be expanded, let me know now. After I've gone through this round of updates, there probably won't be any more significant updates for another few years.

If you have questions that are not answered on the site (not about speaker impedance or enclosure volume, those are covered in detail), email me. If the suggestion is something that I feel would help others, I'll add it to the site.
